The Educational Department of the MEF develops programmes aimed both to schools and curious people, regardless of age or cultural background, fascinated by new places, contemporary languages, unexpected communication tools and uncommon modes of interaction.
School activities are aimed at an active involvement of the students in the process of reading the artworks and the stimulation of critical and creative thinking.
In the workshop, space and time offer the opportunity to let newly acquired knowledge settle by experiencing the exciting stage of understanding through doing.
The roomy and welcoming spaces of the MEF as well as the variety of themes dealt with by temporary exhibitions will allow pre-primary and primary school children to enjoy various experiences. Guided tours and workshops are designed to best meet the need of expressive and creative growth. The time spent on observation, reflection, curiosity, willing to experiment new techniques, materials and surfaces, is the first important step to get in touch with the various languages of visual art in a playful and engaging way.
For secondary school kids, the MEF presents a wide range of learning and training offers aimed at conveying the essence and the vocation of the Museum and, at the same time, meeting specific demands and educational needs. Guided tours, lectures approaching to artistic languages, workshop activities, special projects, workshops with artists, will be the means to dialogue with students and teachers in a fruitful, dynamic and informal way.
