D.A.B. DESIGN FOR ARTSHOPS AND BOOKSHOPS
Young designer on show
From designs to prototypes, to their creation and exhibition to the public, the MEF gathers the most deserving works – over 150 – which were presented at DAB6 – Design for Artshops and Bookshops, competition launched by Giovani d’Arte Office of the City of Modena, promoted by GAI – Association for the Circuit of Young Italian Artists, with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism – Directorate General for Contemporary Art and Architecture and Urban Suburbs and Directorate General for Museums.
On display the 34 best projects and prototypes for objects to be sold in artshops and bookshops of Italian museums, all created by 26 designers between 18 and 34 years old.
The nature of the presented works is heterogeneous, ranging from gadgets and stationery tools to gourmet foodstuffs by way of clothing and the most diverse accessories, offering a broad and articulated overview of the infinite variations which design can assume.
The designers invited to exhibit are: Giuseppe Abati with Alessandra Messali, Dante Antonucci with Laura Crognale, Emilio Baria, Alessandra Benigno with Davide Negro, Fabio Bernardi, Giulia Bertolin, Michela Bortolozzi, Ilaria Bortolussi, CODE0039 of Stefania Quintili and Alessandro Zuppa, Maria Barbara De Marco, Sogutlu Deniz with Massimiliano Straccia, Francesco Fusillo, Alberto Ghirardello, Rossella Granata, Claudia Grespi, Federico La Piccirella, Cristian Loddo, Beatrice Marazzini, Costanza Palmirani, Eleonora Pettinà with Sara Coniglio, Noemi Romano, Jessica Russo, Marcella Stilo, Emanuela Stocco, Davide Tuberga, Maddalena Vantaggi, Giovanni Viviani.
